Faircourt Dental was a dream of a young girl in the 1970's, through inspiration and encouragement by her parents to reach her goals. Mary Sue Stonisch pursued a pre-dental curriculum at Albion College. Outstanding role models and work experiences with the late Dr. A. Seyler, Dr. W. Krieg, Sr. and Dr. L. Bartoszewicz gave Mary Sue a vision.

On her mother's birthday, February 5, 1982, Mary Sue received her acceptance to the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. A future of hard work began. During her third year, Dr. Edward Bowman, a physician who had practiced for years in his home-office at 20040 Mack Avenue, retired. Mary Sue's dreams seemed quite vivid when she set her eyes on this quaint home.

Out of a labor of love, her father, Mr. Rudolph Stonisch, Jr. became the general contractor to build this dream into a reality. For the next year, Mr. Stonisch spent each day at the construction site. On July 15, 1987, Faircourt Dental celebrated its grand opening.

Dr. Stonisch has been committed through her degrees in Art and Chemistry to continued excellence in Aesthetic Dentistry. She has achieved accreditation through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, one of an elite group of 210 dentists in the world who have achieved this accredited professional status. She is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and is proudly a Medical Staff Member of St. John's and Bon Secour Hospitals in order to provide comprehensive care of the community and Aesthetic Dental Services after traumatic injury.

In June 2002, she was the recipient of gold and bronze medals in the Smile Gallery Competition for enhancing smiles at the Annual Session of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Passionately inspired by the tremendous growth in her cosmetic dental practice, Dr. Stonisch has continued her commitment and excellence in all facets of dentistry and dental aesthetics.

An office within an office, The Smile Enhancement Studio was born on September 9, 2001. Since the Smile Enhancement Studio's concept, Dr. Stonisch has developed and perfected the VIP Smile™! This systematic approach to smile enhancement has helped thousands of patients through lecturing and sharing her technique on the World Wide Web at www.VIPSmiles.info.
